Lehman Out for Season

Penn State senior tight end sidelined by knee injury.
UNIVERSITY PARK, CENTRE COUNTY - Week one brought a 'W' in the win column for Penn State.
But there was also a key loss in the game against syracuse.
Head coach Bill O'Brien Tuesday saying tight end Matt Lehman is out for the year with a knee injury.

The fifth year senior went down after making a cut in the second quarter against the Orange.
He was carted off the field with what turned out to be a season-ending injury.
O’Brien has often praised the former walk-on as a talented, hard working player.

"Any time you have a player the caliber and he type of guy that Matt Lehman is go down, it's not a good thing," O’Brien says. "It definitely falls into the category though of next man up. The next guy has to be able to fill in and do it, whether it's a tight end, or a different personnel grouping involving more receivers."

O'brien says another tight end – sophomore Kyle Carter - is day-to-day for the Nittany Lions.
