Joe Paterno Memorial

Dozens showed up Wednesday night in State College to honor Joe Paterno on the 2nd anniversary of his death.
Supporters of Joe Paterno stood in near zero degree temperatures Wednesday night to remember the late Penn State head football coach who died 2 years ago.
The near 75 people who gathered at the Suzanne Pohland Paterno Catholic Student Center just off the Penn State Main Campus in State College lit  409 luminaria bags with messages and stories about the legendary coach. Organizers held the vigil here to mark the impact the Paternos made on the Penn State and State College community.
The vigil held in honor of Paterno, whose family was not present, was organized by Inspiration Way. It's a nonprofit organization that aims to highlight inspirational people in the community.
January 22nd, 2012, Joe Paterno died of complications related to lung cancer. He was 85.
