Humane Society Selling Camper

The money from the sale will go toward improvements at the shelter.
LOGAN TOWNSHIP, BLAIR COUNTY – The Central PA Humane Society announced Wednesday morning they have put up a camper trailer for sale after it was donated by a supporter.

The 1988 Jayco popup trailer usually lists for $1,000 to $1,500, but the Humane Society is not putting a price on the camper. They are instead asking for offers. Whatever the trailer sells for will go toward the kennel campaign to make the canine room a little quieter for visitors.

The shelter is at full capacity now, with about 60 dogs and 200 cats.

“I kinda went “Okay, every day is a little different down here,”” said director Jill Reigh. “Sometimes it’s the dogs and sometimes it’s a phone call from a human. It was fun, though.”

Reigh says the Human Society can also use some of the money to help day-to-day operations; and that they try to keep their overhead at the shelter low so they can help as many animals as possible.
