HERSHEY, PA -- Corbett spoke about his Healthy Pennsylvania plan, highlighting  its strategies to recruit and retain physicians to rural and under-served areas.

He told the group he supports expanding community-based health clinics throughout Pennsylvania.

Under his proposal doctors and other healthcare professionals who agree to work in under-served areas can benefit from loan forgiveness.

As the Governor states, "It's about making sure we do have doctors,  we do have clinics and we have an atmosphere focused on the health of your citizens not on the bookkeeping."

The Governor says Pennsylvania will also submit an innovative proposal to the federal government in hopes of getting funding for more community-based health care clinics across the state.
