Government Amber Alert Website Down Briefly

The site was offline during the weekend due to the government shutdown.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – People logging on to the Amber Alert website over the weekend were redirected to a landing page saying the program’s website was unavailable. As of late Monday morning, the website was working again.

The website was one of many government pages who have posted similar messages since the shutdown began October 1st.

Amber alerts are issued by law enforcement agencies across the country, and any active Amber alerts can still be found on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s website.
