GM Recalls More Than 126,000 Hummers

General Motors is recalling about 126,000 Hummer H3 models over concerns part of the hood could detach from the vehicle while it's being driven.
DETROIT, MICHIGAN --  General Motors is recalling about 126,000 Hummer H3 models over concerns part of the hood could detach from the vehicle while it's being driven.

In a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the car maker said clips holding the hood louver on some of the vehicles could break.  That, GM said, could cause the part to break loose and strike a vehicle behind the Hummer in traffic.

The recall covers 2006 through 2010 model year Hummer H3 vehicles.  The Hummer model is being shut down by GM after they failed to find a buyer for the SUV brand.
