Friday Midday Forecast December 6, 2013

Parts of the region are under a Winter Storm Warning.

Areas of snow and/ or a mix will start to develop for the late afternoon and evening commute.  A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Clearfield, Elk, Cameron, and Clinton Counties from 5 pm to 5 am tomorrow morning.  The precipitation there will be in the form of a heavier snow at times especially into the early nighttime.  The rest of the region is under a Winter Weather Advisory until 5 am tomorrow.  Southeastern valley communities could see the rain turn over to freezing rain or sleet before transitioning to snow early tonight. The activity tapers off overnight.  Lows will be in the mid to upper 20s.  Some sunshine will return for Saturday, but it will be breezy with highs in the low to mid 30s. Clouds will return for Sunday with snow showers changing over to a wintry mix before changing to rain at night. Temperatures will be colder for the first half of the next week, with highs in the 20s and low temperatures in the teens.
