The driver of the other vehicle was also killed and two others seriously injured.
SHARON, MERCER COUNTY – Two high school seniors were killed Saturday when their SUV crossed the center line and slammed head-on into a pickup truck.

Police in Sharon say 17-year-old Cory Swartz and his passenger, 17-year-old Evan Gill, died at the scene. Both were seniors at Sharon High School and members of the football team.

The driver of the pickup, 50-year-old John Zdalar of Brookfield, Ohio, died at a Sharon hospital. The two other passengers in the SUV, Craig and Gregg Osmon, are in serious condition at a Youngstown hospital.

“I feel like this is a dream I'll never wake up from,” said Cory’s sister Amber Swartz. “I know I won't ever be the same. Now, none of my family will ever be the same. I feel like a part of me is missing.”

The Sharon Tigers AA playoff game was postponed from Saturday to Monday.
