Fleeing Suspect Waives Hearing

The suspect's father shot and wounded a state trooper in September.
BROOKVILLE, JEFFERSON COUNTY – The man accused of fleeing from police after his father shot a state trooper waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday morning.

Kenneth Lees, Jr. was returned to the Jefferson County Jail late Wednesday morning. He faces charges of eluding police, aggravated assault, and numerous traffic violations.

Police say his father, Kenneth Lees, Sr., shot State Trooper Brad Wilson September 26th when police attempted to serve a search warrant at the Brockway home the two lived in.

Police tracked down Lees Jr. to assist them in getting his dad out of the home. When police tried to pull him over, Lees Jr. fled. An officer was injured chasing Lees Jr. through the woods.
