There were thousands of fit kids from all 50 states who crowded the South lawn of the White House Monday for the annual Easter Egg Roll.

President Obama and the First family kicked off the event by welcoming everyone.
This year's theme is "Be healthy, be active, be you!"

The event featured live music, sports courts, cooking stations, storytelling and Easter egg rolling.

A host of celebrities made appearances, including NASCAR's Danica Patrick, The Wanted, Jordin Sparks and "Kid President."

First Lady Michelle Obama explained, "Today we want you to have a great time. We want you to run around. We want you to over and see the White House garden. We want you to learn about making tasty healthy food. We're gonna come down and do some Easter egg roll. We're gonna read some stories but overall, we want you guys to have a good time and keep moving and be healthy and kids, eat your vegetables, okay?"

Mrs. Obama has been the leading force behind the Let's Move program started during her husband's first presidency.
