Finding Jay H Nedimyer Jr.

BELLWOOD, BLAIR COUNTY - On Veterans Day, we honor all veterans. On this day, and for the past six years, a local family is searching for their brother. Jay H. Nedimyer Junior is a veteran of more than 20 years.

He grew up in Bellwood and most of his family is still around here. And they're desperate to find him.

The sisters created the Finding Jay H Nedimyer Junior Facebook page. Nedimyer served in the National Guard for 21 years. But after his last tour in Kosovo his family noticed a change. He was acting different and then he just took off.

The family eventually found out that Nedimyer was honorably discharged and was in therapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder before he took off. They tracked his debit card use, found his car, and found traces of him in at least four states out west.

The Facobook page has hundreds of fans and they're always looking for more. They want to get the word out that he is missing and they want to know he’s ok. If anyone has seen him or knows anything they want to hear from you.  And if Jay sees this, they just want to hear from him. His mother says that if he doesn’t want to use his real name, he can use his childhood nickname and let them know he is ok.

His family says no matter what, they're here for Jay.
