Meteorologist Steve Newton

Some rain moved through the region this morning, but clouds are breaking across the region this afternoon and temperatures ranging from the low 70s to near 80. A few clouds will be around during the overnight hours with temperatures falling into the low and mid 50s. Monday will be another nice day, but it will be on the cool side again with temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Monday looks to be the coolest day of the week and we'll warm up a little for the rest of the week. Tuesday will have highs in the mid and upper 70s and a few communities will reach 80 both Tuesday and Wednesday. A front will move through the region Wednesday evening into Thursday, bringing the chance for showers and for Thursday the occasional rumble of thunder. Behind that front another nice air mass will move into the region, keeping us dry as we head into August.
