Road conditions will be terrible this evening as bands of heavy snow move through.
Updated: Saturday evening, December 14th
Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton

Heavy bands of snow are moving through the region, leaving a good amount of snow behind.  The Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 a.m. Sunday for much of the region. Indiana and Jefferson Counties have a Winter Weather Advisory until 1 a.m. Road conditions will be dreadful as the heavy snow moves through, and won’t see much improvement when the snow possibly turns over to an icy mix early Sunday before tapering off. A few snow showers will be leftover Sunday, but the majority of the snow will be done by sunrise Sunday. Westerly winds will pick up Sunday and some valley communities could get above freezing with the chance of clouds breaking for sunshine. Colder air will move in for the first half of the week, with low temperatures in the teens and highs in the 20s. Flurries and snow showers are possible Monday through Wednesday, but we will dry out for the second half of the week. Warmer air will move in for the weekend, with 40° possible for many locations.
