Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

Today was a chilly day as a cold sunny start to the day gave way to plenty of clouds for the afternoon. These clouds are the formation of milder air trying to push into the region, but that mild air is flowing up over the cold air near the ground. This will pattern will continue tonight with a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Clouds will keep it from being as cold of a night as last night with lows in the 30s. Tuesday will feature more clouds than sunshine, and with these clouds and a light southeasterly wind, temperatures will not rise out of the 40s in many locations. Not precipitation will probably come from these clouds all the way through Wednesday and there will be enough bright spots on Wednesday to allow temperatures to rebound more into the upper 50s. The next front will bring showers on Thursday. Behind that front, showers could mix with flurries later Thursday night into Friday then clouds will break for some sunshine Friday afternoon. Temperatures will only rise into the lower to middle 40s Friday. Saturday will cool despite some sunshine with highs in the middle to upper 40s. The next front may bring showers on Sunday.
