More cold and wintry weather is coming our way.
Updated: Monday Evening, December 9th, 2013
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

The storm system than brought snow and ice pulled away from the area early today. Behind it, we had some leftover drizzle and fog most of today. There will still be a touch of drizzle in spots this evening; otherwise, tonight will be mostly cloudy. A disturbance passing near the area later at night and will bring a period of light snow to spots later tonight into early Tuesday. The snow will bring a coating to an inch or two in spots with perhaps a little more in a few locations, especially near the Maryland border. Behind that disturbance the rest of Tuesday will be brisk and chilly with clouds breaking for some sunshine. Temperatures will not rise higher than the 20s. There will be a little break Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Temperatures Wednesday will reach the lower 30s but then another front will bring some flurries, snow showers and perhaps even a heavier burst of snow later Wednesday into Wednesday night. Behind Thursday will be quite windy and cold with snow showers. Highs will only be in the teens into the lower 20s Thursday with the wind making it feel colder than that. Friday will not be quite as cold with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Temperatures will try to break into the lower 30s. The next storm system may bring a wintry mix Saturday into Saturday night with leftover snow showers on Sunday.
