Electronics & Hard-To-Recycle Event

<P>Everything from TV's to cereal boxes to old Reader's Digests will be accepted free-of-charge</P>

LOGAN TOWNSHIP, BLAIR COUNTY - Need to get rid of old electronics or hard-to-recycle items?
 
You may be able to do it for free this weekend.

The Intermunicipal Relations Committee is holding an event on Saturday, Oct. 27 at PNG Field in the Lakemont area of Altoona.

The multi-material recycling collection will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (rain or shine) in the VIP Parking Lot. Traffic will enter through entrance nearest the ticket office and field.

The IRC is accepting the following items from Blair County residents free of charge:
 

ELECTRONICS
Including:

Computers & accessories
TV's
VCR's
microwaves
curling irons
game systems
printers
fax machines
vacuums
cameras
clocks
radios
laptops
Most anything with a cord!
 
Items containing Freon (such as air conditioners, freezers, dehumidifiers, and refrigerators) will not be accepted.
 
BOXES
Including:

cereal
shoe
cracker & other similar food packaging
cardboard
poster boards
gift wrap rolls
toilet paper
paper towel rolls

BOOKS
Including:

paperback
hardback
Reader's Digest
encyclopedias
dictionaries
college textbooks
