Eight Assistants Out at Penn State

Expected to follow Bill O'Brien to Texans.
UNIVERSITY PARK, CENTRE COUNTY - The fall out from Bill O'Brien's exit to the NFL grows once more in Happy Valley. A total of eight assistants submitted their resignations Monday. They're expected to join O'Brien's staff with the Houston Texans.

Defensive coordinator John Butler, wide receivers coach Stan Hixon, running backs coach Charles London and safeties coach Anthony Midget resigned as did Jim Bernhardt, special assistant to the head coach.

Strength and conditioning coaches Craig Fitzgerald, Dwight Galt IV and Sean Hayes also submitted their resignations.

Penn State's coaching staff currently consists of interim head coach Larry Johnson, offensive line coach Mac McWhoter and tight ends coach John Stollo.

A search for the 16th head football coach of the Nittany Lions continues.
