BROCKPORT, JEFFERSON COUNTY - The DCEP Secretary C. ALAN WALKER met with Jefferson County businesses at Scottish Heights Golf Course for a luncheon to discuss the future of economic growth in the county.
"You have to really anticipate what's going to happen because things don't stay the same" said Walker.
Walker says the industrial park being built off of the Hazen exit of I80 is an important step in economic growth.
"You need to have a series of industrial parks around the county. If a firm wants to locate in a region and there's not a site ready they are not going to locate there. So, you have to have these industrial parks" said Walker.
He believes even more should be built in the county.
