The Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group says DuBois is back. From the sidewalks to the buildings, the downtown business district has a new look. The group is focused on getting more people to live, work, and shop in the downtown area. Thats why theyre helping to remodel at least nine downtown businesses. If you live in the area, you may have noticed many of the buildings on Brady Street have a fresh coat of paint, and the project has already replaced sidewalks and light posts. Its all part of a grant that the revitalization group has in place. For the next four years, the group is getting $30,000 to help improve the appearance of downtown. Officials say this is only the beginning. Their next project is to remodel Main Street to Franklin Street. Thats project is expected to start in the spring of 2009.
