DA Calls For More Responsibility

The District Attorney says a former Personal Care Home owner failed her patients.
BLAIRS MILLS, HUNTINGDON COUNTY - The District Attorney says a former Personal Care Home owner failed her patients.

Connie Souders pleaded guilty to Involuntary Manslaughter. She ran Sleepy Hollow Personal Care Facility in Blairs Mills, Huntingdon County.

Sally Fultz, a seventy year old blind woman, wandered away and drowned in a creek in October 2012. Another man died in 2006 at the home when he wandered away and was also found dead in the creek. Charges were not filed against Souders at that time.

The Huntingdon County DA says everyone needs to make sure people who run homes like this need to take better care of their patients.

Souders will face sentencing at a later date.
