Toni Duchi shared her recipe for “Lovie’s Lip-Smackin’ Loaf”.  Your dogs are sure to fall in love if you make this for them at home!
 
Lovie's Lip-Smackin' Loaf
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
3/4 c. low-fat milk
1/4 c. softened butter
4 egg yolks
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
2 oz. carob powder (or melted carob chips)
 
  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease and flour a loaf pan (9" x 5" x 3").
  • Mix ingredients in a bowl, then smooth into the pan.
  • Bake 70 minutes.
  • You can use more melted carob chips or cream cheese for frosting.
