More information from the event organizers:  "(Tyrone, PA) The Breast Cancer & Women’s Health Institute of Central Pennsylvania is sponsoring the area’s first Women’s Healthy Living Expo on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tyrone Hospital campus. This one-day event will encourage women to spend time to focus on themselves and what they need to live a healthy life. The programming has been designed to address women’s issues and interests like breast cancer, menopause, stress, beauty, fitness and nutrition, and much more. There will be free health screenings offered throughout the day.

The sessions will be lead by some of the area’s leading health experts who have designed their presentations specifically for this event and for women’s health. Best of all, admission and parking is absolutely free.

In addition the powerful sessions, attendees will be able to shop with vendors, all with products and services geared towards women.  There will be many opportunities to win great prizes like a $500 MAC makeover, a piece of fine jewelry from Confer’s Jewelry, a Home Waters Outdoor Experience, tickets to The Lettermen concert on May 3, dinner for 2 at Finelli’s, a $50 gift certificate to Allegro, Oakley sunglasses and much more!

To kick-off the Expo festivities, Olivia Calef, an art student at Penn State, and Dr. David Arbutina, Director of the Breast Cancer & Women’s Health Institute, will unveil a cast bronze sculpture that was created by Calef.  The sculpture will be placed at the entrance of the Breast Cancer & Women’s Health Institute, which is located on the Tyrone Hospital Campus. The sculpture ceremony begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 26.

Confirmed seminars and presenters are:

· David Arbutina, M.D., FACS and Director of The Breast Cancer & Women’s Health Institute of Central Pennsylvania, will speak to women about breast cancer detection and prevention. Dr. Arbutina is a board certified surgeon with a focused expertise on breast cancer surgery and has dedicated his career to the successful treatment of breast cancer.
· Kelly Biggs, M.D., will discuss how mammography can effectively detect abnormalities of the breast. Dr Biggs is the medical director of radiology at Tyrone Hospital.
· George Zlupko, M.D., FCCP will educate women on the dangers of smoking and tobacco usage and the best ways to kick the habit for good. Dr. Zlupko is the founder of the Lung Disease Center of Central Pennsylvania which includes the Altoona Lung Specialists and the Sleep Disorder Network. Dr. Zlupko is also Chairman of the Lung Disease Foundation of Central PA.
· Joyelle Scavone of Aqua Salon & Spa will lead a seminar on choosing the right makeup based on face structure and undertone coloring. Joyelle is a professional hair stylist and MAC-certified make-up artist. As a licensed cosmetologist, she has studied and worked with prestigious salons in New York City.
· Lannette Johnston, MS, BSN, RN, CHC, Certified Registered Nurse Health Coach and Director of Outreach at Tyrone Hospital, will lead a session on how to reach your optimal state of health including tips for diet, exercise and how to get motivated and stay on track.
· John McIntosh, Licensed Professional Counselor at Tyrone Hospital’s Outpatient Counseling Program, will lead a seminar on women’s mental health, focusing on anxiety, stress and emotional well-being.
· Kyle Hubler, D.O., will be presenting on bone health, specifically how osteoporosis and weak bones can impact women’s health.
· Stephen Bisacco, M.D. will educate women on managing menopause. Dr. Bisacco specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
· Alan Kanouff, D.O., FCCP is presenting on how to get your best night’s sleep. Dr. Kanouff practices at the Altoona Lung Specialists and Sleep Disorder Network and also specializes in pulmonary diseases.
· David Bozak, D.O. will lead a session on how women can control their back pain. Dr. Bozak is an osteopathic physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
· Tyler Hunter, Personal Trainer at the Tyrone Fitness & Wellness Center, is leading two sessions on how women can create a personalized fitness and nutrition program to help
them achieve their optimal level of health. "
