Walk To End Domestic Violence

Event raising money and awareness.
HUNTINGDON - Dozens came together for a walk with a special meaning.

This is the 2nd annual Walk to End Violence. It took place at Detwiler Field in Huntingdon. The walk is aimed at helping raise awareness towards domestic violence, but the group is also raising money for the Huntingdon House. The house works with domestic abuse victims and they are currently looking to create a new place to encourage safe custody exchanges.

"It's not just about raising money. It was about remembering Michael and more importantly it's about taking a stand and coming together to say we won't let something like this happen again," Nicole Houck with the Huntingdon House says.

The building will be named in honor of 2 year old Michael Ayers who was shot and killed by his father during a custody exchange last year.
