Unemployment Numbers Released For Pennsylvania

Unemployment numbers from February released for Pennsylvania.
PENNSYLVANIA - Good news came out Friday regrading the state's unemployment numbers. The unemployment rate is down to 6.2% in the month of February. That's lower than the national average of 6.7%.

Manpower, a company that helps match other companies with potential employees, is not surprised by this number. Kevin Gardner, a branch manager in Altoona, said the state average is right in line with local numbers.

"The forward-looking projections for quarter one are definitely inline with what's on the paper here and our projections for quarter two are optimistic."

The jobs Gardner said in particular they're seeing open are in professional services, construction and leisure and hospitality.
