Unemployment drops in Pa.

The state's unemployment rate fall below the national unemployment rate in January.
HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN COUNTY – Pennsylvania’s Department of Labor & Industry has released its employment situation report for January 2014, showing the unemployment rate is at its lowest level since November 2008.

The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was at 6.4 percent in January, down from 6.8 percent in December. The national unemployment rate was at 6.6 percent for January.

January’s unemployment rate is the lowest since it was at 6.2 percent in November 2008. Unemployment has dropped 1.4 percentage points from January 2013, when it was at 7.8 percent.
