From State College Police:
On 4/12/14 at approximately 2:41AM, State College Police officers were dispatched to 220 E. Foster Ave. for a report that an individual had been stabbed and injured. Upon arrival the residence, officers found two 22 year old males who had sustained injuries to their back from what appeared to have been a knife or other edged weapon. One of the victims had a stab wound and the other a minor incision and an injury to his face. Both males are college students from other campuses who were visiting for the weekend.
The investigation revealed that the two victims went to the residence to visit a female friend. They went to the 3rd floor of the residence and were met at the door by several males who told the victims to leave. One of the victims attempted to call the female friend at which time three males came out of the residence, each armed with what the victims reported as knives. The two victims turned and began to run down the steps towards the front door. As the victims attempted to flee, the male suspects stabbed and slashed at the victims. Victim #1 sustained a stab wound to the middle of his back. Victim #2 sustained a small incision to the area around his right shoulder blade. Victim #2 also had a visible contusion to his left eye. Victim #1 was taken to the Mount Nittany Medical Center and was then flown to the Altoona hospital for the knife injury. Victim #2 was also taken to the Mount Nittany Medical Center and received treatment there for his injuries. Both victims were treated and released from the hospital.
As a result of the investigation the three males who assaulted the victims were identified and arrested.
21 year old Penn State Altoona campus student Brandon D. Frick was charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Terroristic Threats, Possession of Instrument of Crime, and Recklessly Endangering. Frick was arraigned before Mag. Lachman and placed in the Centre County Prison on $10,000 straight bail. Frick’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 4/16/14.
21 year old Penn State student William D. Stranburg was charged with Terroristic Threats, Possession of Instrument of Crime, and Recklessly Endangering. Stranburg was arraigned before Mag. Lachman and released on $2000 unsecured bail. Stranburg’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 4/16/14.
22 year old Penn State student Robert W. Donaldson was charged with Terroristic Threats, Possession of Instrument of Crime, and Recklessly Endangering. Donaldson was arraigned before Mag. Lachman and released on $2000 unsecured bail. Donaldson’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 4/16/14.
