Tuesday Morning Forecast, August 12, 2014

Occasional rain and scattered storms today.

THIS MORNING A WARM FRONT IS MOVING ACROSS THE REGION, WE’LL HAVE SHOWERS AND SOME HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS.  STORMS COULD CONTAIN HEAVY DOWNPOURS THAT HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE FLOODING OR PONDING IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND ALSO ALONG SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS.  TOMORROW THE ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT STARTS TO PUSH INTO THE REGION.  WE WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE SHOWERS AND STORMS.  AGAIN, SOME RAINFALL COULD BE LOCALLY HEAVY.  SKIES TODAY WILL BE MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH SOME AREAS OF FOG AS WELL. TEMPERATURES WILL AVERAGE IN THE MID 70s.  THE FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH BY TUESDAY NIGHT.  WEDNESDAY WILL BE COOL FOR AUGUST WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW TO MID 70s.  WE’LL HAVE CLOUDS AND A FEW BREAKS.  THERE WILL BE A FEW SPOTTY SHOWERS AROUND THE REGION.  ON THURSDAY WE WILL HAVE A MIXTURE OF CLOUDS AND SUNSHINE AND TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 70s.  THOUGH A STRAY SHOWER IS POSSIBLE, MANY LOCATIONS WILL BE DRY.  HIGH PRESSURE MOVES IN, AND FRIDAY WILL BE PARTLY SUNNY WITH HIGHS IN THE UPPER 70s.  WE’LL HAVE A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS ON SATURDAY AND IT WILL BE A BIT WARMER WITH HIGHS IN THE UPPER 70s TO AROUND 80.  SUNDAY LOOKS NICE AS WELL WITH A PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY SKY AND TEMPERATURES REACHING THE LOW 80s.
