Staying cold through mid week.
Updated Tuesday Midday, January 28th
Reported by Meteorologist Regina Miller

This afternoon will be very cold despite a partly sunny sky.  Winds diminish and temps will only be in the single digits for most places.  Tonight will be another cold night with an overnight low averaging around -2.  Tomorrow will be mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid teens.  The arrival of milder air and a weak disturbance will bring some clouds mixed with our sunshine on Thursday but the mercury will rebound into the 20s. The mercury will continue to rise Thursday night. It will be warm enough the next disturbance could bring a wintry mix or snow by Friday night into Saturday. In fact, precipitation may change to plain rain for a while Saturday. A front will bring some flurries then afternoon sunshine on Sunday but it won't be that cold with highs in the 30s. In fact, the break from arctic air should remain into next week.
