Tuesday Midday Forecast, August 12, 2014

Showers and storms will develop again this afternoon.

AFTER A LULL IN THE ACTION, WE’LL HAVE SHOWERS AND POSSIBLY SOME HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS POPPING UP LATER THIS AFTERNOON.  ANY STORM COULD CONTAIN HEAVY DOWNPOURS THAT HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE FLOODING OR PONDING IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND ALSO ALONG SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS.  THERE IS ALSO A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE STORMS CONTAINING DAMAGING WINDS OR HAIL.  TONIGHT AFTER A FEW EARLY STORM OR SHOWERS, WE’LL HAVE CLOUDS AND FOG.  LOWS WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 50s TO LOW 60s.  WEDNESDAY WILL BE COOL FOR AUGUST WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW TO MID 70s.  WE’LL HAVE CLOUDS AND A FEW BREAKS.  THERE WILL BE A FEW SPOTTY SHOWERS AROUND THE REGION.  ON THURSDAY WE WILL HAVE A MIXTURE OF CLOUDS AND SUNSHINE AND TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 70s.  THOUGH A STRAY SHOWER IS POSSIBLE, MANY LOCATIONS WILL BE DRY.  HIGH PRESSURE MOVES IN, AND FRIDAY WILL BE PARTLY SUNNY WITH HIGHS IN THE UPPER 70s.  WE’LL HAVE A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS ON SATURDAY AND IT WILL BE A BIT WARMER WITH HIGHS IN THE UPPER 70s TO AROUND 80.  SUNDAY LOOKS NICE AS WELL WITH A PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY SKY AND TEMPERATURES REACHING THE LOW 80s.
