Thursday Midday Forecast, August 7, 2014

Afternoon sunshine and comfortable.
HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL RISE INTO THE UPPER 70s TO AROUND 80 FOR THIS AFTERNOON. TAKE THE SUNGLASSES WITH YOU.  HIGH PRESSURE WILL PROVIDE US WITH A PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY SKY.  HUMIDITY WILL BE LOW MAKING FOR A VERY COMFORTABLE AUGUST AFTERNOON.  A WEAK COLD FRONT IS DROPPING FROM THE NORTH BEFORE FALLING APART.  WHILE THERE IS A VERY SLIGHT CHANCE FOR A SPRINKLE OR A STRAY LIGHT SHOWER IN CLINTON OR PERHAPS CAMERON COUNTY, IT IS MORE LIKELY THAT THERE WILL ONLY BE A FEW PASSING CLOUDS THERE.  TONIGHT WILL BE MOSTLY CLEAR WITH JUST A FEW PATCHY CLOUDS OR FOG LATE.  LOWS WILL BE COOL AGAIN, DROPPING INTO THE LOW TO MID 50s.  A FEW OUTLYING AREAS TO THE NORTH COULD EVEN DROP INTO THE UPPER 40s.   ON FRIDAY THAT AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL ONCE AGAIN GIVE US A PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY SKY TO WRAP UP YOUR WORK WEEK. TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE UPPER 70S TO AROUND 80.  ON SATURDAY THE AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BE TO OUR NORTH AS A DISTURBANCE PASSES TO OUR SOUTH WHILE MOVING TOWARD THE EASTERN COASTLINE.  WHILE THE BULK OF THE RAIN WILL BE IN AREAS LIKE VIRGINIA AND NORTH CAROLINA, A STRAY SHOWER OR STORM CANNOT BE RULED OUT IN OUR REGION, WITH THE BEST CHANCE BEING SOUTH OF ROUTE 22.  OTHERWISE WE’LL HAVE A MIXTURE OF CLOUDS AND SUN.  HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE UPPER 70s AROUND 80 AGAIN.  ON SUNDAY CLOUDS MAY INCREASE SOMEWHAT DUE TO AN EASTERLY WINDFLOW.  THERE COULD BE A SHOWER OR STORM AROUND AS WELL WITH HIGHS IN THE UPPER 70s.  MONDAY WE’LL HAVE ANOTHER AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE WEDGE IN, GIVING US A MOSTLY SUNNY SKY WITH TEMPERATURES AROUND 80 AND TUESDAY COULD BRING A FEW SCATTERED SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS.
