Three hospitalized in morning crash

Police say the brakes in one vehicle failed.
CRESSON TOWNSHIP, CAMBRIA COUNTY – Three people were taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after a crash along Admiral Peary Highway.

According to Cresson Township Police, the incident occurred just before 8 a.m. Wednesday along the 7300 block of Admiral Peary Highway.

Two people were in a black car that hit a silver car head-on. Police say the brakes failed on the black car, causing it to slide out of control down the hill and into the silver car.

The three were taken to UPMC Altoona Hospital. Their conditions have not been released.
