Student's gas problem leads to football coach charges

After a student passed gas in a teacher's classroom, the teacher got mad and pushed him. The teacher is also the head football coach. He was charged with harassment and was put on leave until further notice.
PORTER TOWNSHIP, HUNTINGDON COUNTY – A 45-year-old teacher is facing charges after allegedly pushing a student in his classroom at Juniata Valley High School.

 Michael smith is the football coach at Juniata Valley High School in Huntingdon County. He's also a teacher. According to police, a student farted in Smith’s class shortly after 8 a.m. on March 25th. Smith then allegedly pushed the 16 year old student against the wall and damaged a thermostat worth $212.50. The victim is said to have suffered soreness in his left shoulder.

Smith is facing charges of Harassment and Criminal Mischief. Charges are pending in district court. The school district put Smith on leave until further notice.
