Staying Behind Bars

A judge ruled that a Cambria Township man will have to stay in jail after attorney’s filed a motion to get him out early.
EBENSBURG, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- A judge ruled that a Cambria Township man will have to stay in jail after attorney’s filed a motion to get him out early.

Paul Younkin was in the Cambria County Courthouse back in May.  A motion was filed to get the 32 year old out of jail early.  He’s currently serving 14-120 months in State Prison for burglarizing a Colver Church in 2013.

A judge decided to deny the motion stating Younkin will stay in jail.

Some people in the small town of Colver said Monday they were relieved.

“I am glad justice was served,” said one woman who did not want to be identified.  ‘I was worried about him getting out again and it is not fair to society.”

Younkin was taken back to state prison.
