State Route Paving Project to Begin

The 6.2-mile stretch of road will receive improvements during the fall.
HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY – PennDOT announced Tuesday the beginning of a construction project along Route 1015 in Gallitzin Township and Tunnellhill Borough, Blair and Cambria Counties.

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc. of New Enterprise is the prime contractor on the $1.4 million project. Work is slated to begin Thursday September 5th and is scheduled to be completed by early November. The project will include milling, bituminous base repairs and paving.

The project area runs from just off Route 22 in Gallitzin to near Coupon where the road meets Route 36. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane during work hours and controlled by flaggers. Delays are likely and work is weather dependent.
