Speed Reductions in Place on Major Roads

The reduction is to the speed limit plow trucks operate.
REGIONWIDE – PennDOT has reduced the speed limit on several roadways to 45 mph to allow crews to clear snow and sleet from roadways.

The following roads have speed limits of 45 mph until further notice:
  • Interstate 70 from PA/MD border to Bedford County
  • Interstate 99 from Turnpike to Blair/Centre County Line
  • Route 22 in Blair and Cambria Counties
  • Route 219 from Clearfield/Cambria County Line to Somerset County
Crews have been working around the clock. The main goal is to keep roads passable, not completely free of snow and ice. The crews will continue working throughout the storm until precipitation stops and roads are clear.
