Reports: Bosh re-signs with Heat

(SportsNetwork.com) - Chris Bosh is reportedly staying in Miami.

The free-agent forward has agreed to terms on a five-year, $118 million deal to remain with the Heat, according to multiple reports Friday.

The reports surfaced just hours after LeBron James announced he was leaving to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers again, unclogging the start of the NBA free agency period.

Bosh joined the Heat in 2010 to play along with James and Dwyane Wade. Miami made the NBA Finals all four seasons the three stars were together, winning two titles.

All three opted out of their contracts last month, leaving the future unclear for the franchise. Wade is now the only one without a new deal.

Everyone lined up behind James, of course, but Bosh was seen as one of the top free-agents available on the market.

Among the teams reportedly courting the 6-foot-11 big man was the Houston Rockets, who were said to also have offered him a maximum deal.

Bosh, 30, has averaged 17.3 points and 7.4 rebounds in four seasons with Miami after playing his first seven seasons for Toronto. He has averaged 14.9 points and 7.3 rebounds in 78 playoff games for Miami.
