PSU Wins Big in Home Opener

Penn State dominated Eastern Michigan is a 45-7 rout in Saturday's home opener.
UNIVERSITY PARK - Eastern Michigan proved to be a difficult challenge for the Nittany Lions - in the first quarter.  But after the Eagles scored the first touchdown of the game - a Christian Hackenberg fumble recovery for a score - Penn State scored 45 unanswered points to get the 45-7 victory.

Hackenberg finished the game completing 23 of 33 passes for 311 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT and the lost fumble.

The run game was much improved against Eastern Michigan.  Akeel Lynch and Bill Belton both had 108 yards a piece on the ground.  Penn State combined for 251 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns.
