PSU Players Ready for NFL Draft

Four Nittany Lions expected to be selected by NFL teams.
STATE COLLEGE - For Penn State's pro prospects, it's been a nearly sixth-month long process of proving themselves ready for the next level.

But when the teams go on the clock Thursday at the NFL Draft, where they end up will be out of their hands.

Nearly a dozen former Nittany Lions are looking to make it in professional football.

Of that group, four are projected to be selected by an NFL team.

They are wide receiver Allen Robinson, linemen DaQuan Jones and John Urschel, as well as linebacker Glenn Carson.

“I mean I would love to be a part of this draft,” says Carson, who is tabbed as a sixth- or seventh-round pick by CBS Sports. “I mean it would be just awesome to get drafted. I just hope that I will be able to have that honor being in the draft this year.”

“All I can do is stay prepared and stay ready and once my name is called just try to go their and show those guys what I can do and try to earn a spot on the field,” adds Robinson, who is projected as a second-round pick.

Robinson and Jones are the highest-rated prospects from Penn State in this year's draft, although neither one is expected to go in the first round.
