Pressure mounting on VA Secretary to resign

A preliminary report said the VA's healthcare system is plagued by bad scheduling practices.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – New information coming to light on the VA scandal has more lawmakers calling for Secretary Eric Shinseki to resign.

A preliminary report released Wednesday from the VA Inspector General said the department’s healthcare system is plagued by bad scheduling practices.

In Phoenix alone, 1,700 veterans are awaiting care and are not yet on a waiting list, and the average wait for a first visit is almost four months.

Arizona Senator John McCain says Shinseki should step down or be fired.
