Police: Two Shootings Connected

Johnstown Police believe two shootings a week apart could be connected.

JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Johnstown Police believe two shootings a week apart could be connected.

On Sunday afternoon police said Steve Huger was shot and took himself to the hospital.

“They recovered shell casings at the scene,” said Police Chief Craig Foust.  “Our officers got a call that the victim was at Conemaugh with a gun shot wound to the shoulder.”

Foust said the shooting happened in the 500 block of Fronheiser Street in the city.  The victim is allegedly not cooperating.

“He is less than cooperative,” said Foust.

Foust said through the investigation they believe Sunday’s shooting is connecting to one from the week before.

“We have one person in custody from that shooting and we believe this recent one is connected,” said Foust.

DeShawn Green is in jail for his involvement from a shooting that ended at Solomon Homes the previous week.

Anyone with information on either of the shootings is asked to call police 1-800-281-1680.
