Police Investigating Theft of Firearms

A dueling pistol dating to before the Civil War was among the items stolen.
LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, BEDFORD COUNTY – State Police are investigating the theft of seven weapons from a Bedford County home, including a pre-Civil War dueling pistol.

According to State Police, the homeowner reported the suspect or suspects entered his residence along the 1600 block of Wall Street on February 23rd and drank a case of beer.

He also reported several weapons had been stolen from his residence, including:
  • Double-barrel 410 gauge shotgun with wood stock, made 4/12/1914
  • A pre-Civil War dueling pistol
  • Two black powder Derringer pistols
  • Remington Model 7600 30.06 pump-action rifle with synthetic scope, Tasco scope and sling
  • Marlin 35 Remington level action with scope and sling
  • Remington .22 pump action rifle
