Pirates Merchandise Flying Off Area Store's Shelves!

Several Pennsylvania teams have merchandise flying off the shelves right now thanks to great seasons.
CAMBRIA TOWNSHIP, CAMBRIA COUNTY -- The Pittsburgh Pirates are on the verge of clinching their first winning season since 1992.

Specialty Promotions in Cambria Township, Cambria County specializes in Pirate goods and store owner Jim Vetock say they haven't seen a demand like this in years.

Customer Kerry Kassab of State College drove 50 miles to grab some loot.
"Bucco's! We are down here for the Pirates. It's been real exciting, " says Kassab.

That excitement has created a frenzy for fans - like Kassab to stock up on Pirates gear before the game.

Kassab shows off his purchases, "I bought 2 T-shirts a polo shirt, a baseball cap so we are good to go!"

Fans from near and far made a visit to get all the latest Pirates necessities, like 10 year old Samuel Jones from Scranton.

"Got a blow horn and bracelet," exclaims Jones.

Vetock adds, "This summer has been a fantastic summer for us.  Pirates playing great ball. People stopping in from all over stopping in on their way to the Pirates games."

That includes Kevin Young from Danville who made his first trip to this store.
He says, "This place has everything Pirates stuff is hard to find back home."

And as long as the Pirates continue to play good, these shoppers say they'll be back!

Vetock says customers have till next week to place their orders for any championship gear.
