PennDOT to Replace Local Bridge

The public has the opportunity to voice concerns at a meeting Wednesday evening.
ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY – PennDOT will hold a meeting Wednesday evening to answer questions and hear comments regarding the planned replacement of the Mill Run Bridge in Altoona.

The replacement will mean detouring traffic for those living in the area of Route 36 and Pleasant Valley Boulevard. Plans are currently in place, but may change depending on what residents have to say.

“It’s always good for the public to come and give their input as the project stands now there is an proposed detour for this project so we want people to come and tell us how it may impact them,” said PennDOT spokeswoman Tara Callahan-Henry.

The meeting, set for 6-8 p.m. at Baker Elementary on Ward Avenue in Altoona.
