A higher education magazine lists the best schools by reputation annually.
LONDON, ENGLAND – The Times Higher Education magazine’s World Reputation Rankings have been released and Penn State is in the top 50.

The England-based magazine has Penn State ranked 39th among universities around the world in their fourth annual version of the list, based on more than 10,500 responses from over 130 countries.

This is the first time Penn State has made the top 50 in the survey. In 2013 and 2012 Penn State was ranked between 51 and 60; and 61-70 in their inaugural list.

The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia fell from 18 on the 2013 list to 22 this year.
