Parts of I80 Will Remain Closed

Penndot has announced parts of the interstate will remain closed during daylight hours.
WOODLAND, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - During the massive pile-up on Interstate 80 West Wednesday morning slick conditions caused other minor accidents throughout the county.

A tanker leaked gasoline near the 123 mile marker.

Penndot has just released this information:

PennDOT advises motorists that a temporary, daylight lane restriction is in place on I-80 westbound near the Woodland/123 exit in Clearfield County. The restriction will allow for crews to access an area impacted by a tanker crash Wednesday on the highway.

Starting Thursday afternoon, and continuing into next week, the left (passing) lane of I-80 westbound will be closed during daylight hours from mile-marker 124 to mile-marker 123 at the Woodland exit.

The right (travel) lane will remain open to traffic during the clean-up. The clean-up activities and lane restriction will not take place over the weekend.

Drivers in the area will be alerted to the restriction through the use of message boards and the Highway Advisory Radio System, available by tuning to 1640 on the AM radio dial.
