Overnight Forecast Tuesday, May 5th, 2014

Warmer air will push back into the region this week.
Updated: Monday Night, May 5th, 2014
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

We'll have some sunshine on Tuesday with only a slight chance for a pop up shower or thunderstorm. Temperatures will rebound into the middle 60s. An approaching warm front will bring the chance for showers and thunderstorms later Tuesday night into Wednesday. Temperatures Wednesday will likely not rise out of the 60s but it really depends on the timing of the precipitation. As long as the warm front lifts north of the region temperatures will surge well into the 70s. There may be a few spots still stuck cooler Thursday, but everywhere should warm well into the 70s Friday. There can be a scattering of showers and thunderstorms both Thursday and Friday, but most spots and much of the time should be rain free. The same can not be said for Saturday as a slow moving front will bring numerous showers and thunderstorms. This front may still be close enough to bring some showers on Sunday but it likely still looks like the better day of the weekend. Even drier air will try to return to the region on Monday.
