Overnight Forecast Tuesday, May 13th, 2014

We'll continue to have a scattering of showers and thunderstorms through the middle of the week.
Updated: Tuesday Night, May 13th, 2014
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

Wednesday will be another humid day, but a little more of an easterly component to the wind will help to keep it from being quite as warm and sticky as recent days. We'll have more clouds than sunshine. While the shower and thunderstorm activity will once again be scattered, more places will be hit than recent days. Once again if you are hit, there can be a heavier downpour. A slow-moving front will get even closer on Thursday, Thursday night and into Friday bringing even more showers and thunderstorms, some with heavier downpours. There may be enough rainfall to spark flooding in areas of poor drainage and along some of the smaller streams and creek. The rainfall will taper to scattered showers behind the front on Friday and it will turn out to be a cooler day with highs in the 60s. A cooler air mass will dominate our weather through the weekend with times of clouds and sunshine. While there will be a pop up shower or thunderstorm in a few spots, most spots and much of the time will be rain free.  We'll have more sun than clouds on Monday before the next front brings the chance for a shower or thunderstorm on Tuesday.
