Overnight Forecast Thursday, January 23rd, 2014

A brutal wind will be around again on Friday.
Updated: Thursday Night, January 23rd, 2014
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

Friday will be breezy and very cold but there should also be partial sunshine. Temperatures will only rise into the lower to middle teens with the wind still making it feel colder than that. The mercury may actually rise a little Friday night and then will pop into the 20s for the first time in a while on Saturday ahead of the next cold front. This arctic front will bring numerous snow showers and perhaps a heavier, blinding squall Saturday which can catch travelers off guard. The cold air will be a little reinforced Saturday night into Sunday and another disturbance will bring snow showers Sunday into Monday. Behind that disturbance, the arctic air will strengthen its grip on the region as we head into the middle of next week. The good news is that later next week, temperatures will return to near average with some sunshine.
