Overnight Forecast Monday, August 11th, 2014

Some wet weather coming our way before a drier end to the week.
Updated: Monday Night, August 11th, 2014
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

A plume of moisture is ahead of a very slow moving front will give us a wet day on Tuesday with periods of rain. There will also be scattered thunderstorms, any of which will be heavy. Once again there will be a bit of a stiff southeasterly breeze. The combination of this easterly wind, clouds, and rainfall will result in another relatively cool day with the mercury struggling to reach higher than the lower 70s. This front will pass to the east and set the stage for drier weather later in the week. Behind the front clouds will break for some sunshine Wednesday. It will be a bit breezy and there will be a pop up shower in some spots with highs in the upper 60s to the lower 70s. Thursday will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine with only a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm. Temperatures will rebound into the lower to middle 70s Thursday. A bubble of high pressure will give us a partly sunny sky on Friday with highs in the middle 70s. Saturday will turn even warmer with a sunny to partly cloudy sky and highs close to 80. Sunday into Monday will be seasonably warm and more humid. The chance for a pop up shower or thunderstorm will increase a little but most spots should still be rain free.
