No injuries in York Co. home explosion

Neighbors said the explosion was so powerful they thought it was an earthquake.
LOWER WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY – A propane tank is being named as the cause of a home explosion Thursday morning which shook homes on both sides of the Susquehanna River in York and Lancaster Counties.

The explosion occurred around 5 a.m. Thursday at a home along the 100 block of Calvary Church Road in Lower Windsor Township.

No injuries were reported in the explosion. Some neighbors said the explosion was so powerful they thought it was an earthquake.

Fire crews are being forced to use four-wheel-drive vehicles to reach the scene of the fire.
